Container home costs vary enormously based on size, number of containers, finish level, and site preparation needs — a bare-bones single-container build and a multi-container two-story home with high-end finishes aren’t comparable projects.
Where the money actually goes
Beyond the containers themselves, budget for site work and foundation, cutting/welding/structural modification, insulation, utilities, interior finishing, and permitting. Site prep and finishing often cost more than the containers.
